Asian Judicial Institute
Following the collapse of the Soviet Union, Judge Joe Spurlock was sought out by the people of Mongolia to advise them in their unique development of democracy. The Asian Judicial Institute works to provide technical assistance to governments and non-profits. In addition, it coordinates educational visits and the exchange of legal professionals between the United States and Mongolia.
Spurlock Scholars
The Fund seeks to provide scholarships to Texas A&M School of Law students and legal professionals to encourage academic studies of judicial independence, democratic reform, and the rule of law.
Judicial Independence CLE & Lecturers
The Fund will provide for an annual lecture and CLE on the role of judicial independence and the role of democracy.
Documents of Democracy
The Fund is working to restore, maintain, and preserve the writings and documents of Judge Joe Spurlock II.
